Statement on staying vigilant of any cross-border sales of insurance product and fraud, and not submitting premium through third parties

It has come to our attention that some parties may have involved in displaying, promoting, soliciting or selling AXA Macau’s insurance products in person or via various form of electronic channels or social media platforms in Macau and/or Mainland China without our authorisation or permission and purported to have business relationship with AXA Macau. To protect your interest and avoid any financial losses or be involved in illegal financial activities such as cross-border funds exchange or transfer, or even criminal offences such as money laundering, please do not submit premium through any third parties.    

AXA Macau has already reminded our business partners that it is prohibited to engage in any unauthorised offshore insurance activities directly or indirectly. AXA Macau and our licensed insurance intermediaries only conduct regulated activities within Macau, including but not limited to distributing or publicising any marketing and promotion materials and proposals as well as accompanying customers submitting premium for AXA Macau’s insurance policy in Macau. Customers should only receive insurance products and services of AXA Macau through us or our licensed insurance intermediaries. To protect your interest and avoid any financial losses or be involved in illegal financial activities such as cross-border funds exchange or transfer, or even criminal offences such as money laundering, please do not purchase any insurance products of AXA Macau and/or submit premium through any parties without AXA Macau’s authorization.     In addition, please submit premium to AXA Macau directly. Do not make any renewal payment to the Financial Consultant by any means, including paying cash to the Financial Consultant or depositing money to Financial Consultant’s bank account. Please refer to the instructions on “Payment Notice” or consult your Financial Consultant for premium payment methods.  

Consumers are strongly advised to verify the license of insurance intermediary that you are dealing with in Macau against the Monetary Authority of Macao’s website (https://www.amcm.gov.mo/static/insurance_intermediary/intermediary_en.php).
